Its a part of the bolt. If you disassemble the bolt, there are 2parts in the inner rear bolt-section.. one solid "stick" for pushing the cartridge out and a bigger tube.
if this tube has a spring around it, it would be the "nato-break" for decreasing the ROF to 700-800rpm.
if its full metal, then you have the full 1200rpm like the old MG42
