Nevertheless; the G3 is badass ^^
Damn, should have signed up in NOrway!!!
well personally I like our G3 better. Much more smooth trier mechanism. And of course the 7.62mm is hell a lot more fun to shoot with than the 5.56mm. Besides the 416 tends to break all the time. It is very accurate though.
Thanks for the comment!
But what do you mean with "416 tends to break all the time"... You mean it has ignition miss, or really break? Thats crazy! Thought HK improved the material every time! I used the G36 Combat with all the funny gadgetry! It never broke, even it`s chassis is made fully of Polycarbonate! But youre right with the 5,56mm , its gewgaw! Therefore the 417 might be fine!
Hope your not the MG 3 bearer! That sucks!

I've surved as a Corpopral in the Assault Squadron in the Armoured Batallion, Norwegian Army. The Assault Squadron is mechanized infantry very much like the ones in you german Armoured Battalion 37. Except we have less homeland defence and more int.ops offence. We've trained for Anti-tank operation, CQB and Frontline offence with IFV's. Our platoon is very small, but one of the best trained in the whole country.
We deploy to ISAF in Afghanistan every other year.
And no I'm not a MG 3 bearer, thank god. Back when I was reqruiting I was, and it was hell. As lucky as I got I became second in command on my team, and later team commander
Well, your G3 seems to me as the best solution! Good firepower and a reliable, modernised chasis!
I think your armoured battalion is way better trained then ours, because you have very much smaler groups and you have more special training in such groups! Armoured batallion in germany is like you said more specificated on homeland security! But we trained small groups of them in the same stuff you do, CQB, Urban Warfare, quick response etc. , to unburden our overcharged DSO!
I also was the MG3 bearer in my reqruiting time... Damn, i hate it so much dude!
Well, you climped up the ladder very impressive! It`s a big burden, i know, but it`s one of the most important experience you can get in live!
I`m glad to be done too, but sometimes it would be fun to do some stuff again!
